Comedy Day is basically the company picnic for SF comedians. And it's a free show for comedy lovers who come out to Golden Gate Park. Robin Williams dropped in and did quick set this past Comedy Day. Thank you in advance!!!
Here is a message I received from one of the producers:
Your 1 Vote Could Win 1 Million for Comedy Day!
Like Comedy Day...it’s FREE to vote!!!
Help Us Win the Chase Bank Contest for Charity so that our 30th Annual Show on Sept. 19, 2010 will be the best ever!
Chase Bank has announced an online voting contest for small nonprofits. There are 100 prizes from $25,000 to $1,000,000!
The voting is done on Chase’s Facebook page. It requires a few steps, but if you follow the instructions below it only takes one minute. We know you are busy, but are hoping you will donate that minute of your time to help us win.
INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTE
Click the following URL: http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving/
or paste it into your browser if that does not work.
At the top of the window, log into your Facebook account with your email and password.
On the right hand side you will see a black box with “Enter your charity”.
IMPORTANT: You must type our name: Comedy Day.
Once “Comedy Celebration Day, Inc. (San Francisco, CA)” is the only name you see, hit GO.
On the window that opens click “Allow Access”
In the pink box on the right click “Become a fan”
The text changes to “Verification is needed”. Click that.
At the top of the window that opens click “Become a fan” to verify.
Close that window. This will then only leave open the window where you vote.
Refresh the window where you vote so it registers that you are a fan. (This may not be necessary but best to do it to be sure.)
Click “Vote for Charity”
The only way we will win is if current supporters send this to their friends. To do that, at the bottom of the page where it says “Help this charity by spreading the word”, please click “Post to wall”, type what you would like to say to encourage your friends to help, and then cut and paste in these directions.
Thanks so much for helping us present our 30th annual event on Sunday, September 19, 2010!
*Not on Facebook? If you do not have a Facebook account, you can set one up in about 60 seconds and can delete it later if you find you do not want it. To set it up, just go to www.Facebook.com
