Maybe this drink is old news, but it's new to me. Last night at the White Horse Inn in Oakland, I notice the bartender was making these pretty drinks. Pretty was enough for me to want to try one. A poisoned apple tastes much better than the standard appletini. The bar was busy as hell, so I didn't want to bother the bartender and slow things down by asking for the recipe, so I searched online. This one I found on http://www.barnonedrinks.com is the only that looks like what the bartender made last night.
1 splash(es) Grenadine - (more)
1/2 oz. Amaretto - (more)
1/2 oz. Banana Liqueur - (more)
1/2 oz. Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay Coconut Rum - (more)
1/2 oz. Grand Marnier - (more)
1/2 oz. Southern Comfort - (more)
Pineapple Juice (To taste) - (more)
Sour Mix (To taste) - (more)
Instructions
Blend all the ingredients (except grenadine) with ice and pour in a cocktail glass. Finish with the dash of grenadine.
I couldn't find any pictures of the poison apple. It should be green with red on the bottom. Don't get too shitfaced.
